Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PrepScore website, applications, and services (the "Service"), operated by PrepScore ("PrepScore," "we," "us," or "our"). Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using the Service, or by creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Description of the service
PrepScore provides online preparation for the digital SAT, including practice questions across Reading & Writing and Math, full-length adaptive mock exams, flashcards, a progress dashboard, explanations, and related study materials. The Service is an independent study aid. It is not the SAT itself, is not affiliated with the College Board, and does not register you for any exam. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
3. Accounts
- Registration. Some features require you to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep it up to date.
- Eligibility. You must be able to form a binding contract to use the Service. The Service is intended for users who meet the minimum age required by applicable law; where you are under that age, a parent or legal guardian must agree to these Terms and manage the account on your behalf.
- Account security. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
- One person per account. Accounts are for individual use and may not be shared, sold, or transferred without our written consent.
4. Subscriptions & billing
- Plans and pricing. Paid access is offered as a monthly subscription at $9.90, a 3-month subscription at $19.90, or a one-time lifetime purchase at $39.90. The plan you choose, and its price, are shown to you at the point of purchase before you pay.
- Auto-renewal. The monthly and 3-month plans are subscriptions that renew automatically at the end of each billing period — every month, or every three months — at the then-current price for that plan, until you cancel. We disclose the renewal terms at the point of purchase.
- Lifetime purchase. The lifetime plan is a single, one-time charge. It does not auto-renew and is not a recurring subscription. "Lifetime" refers to the lifetime of the PrepScore SAT service; if the Service is discontinued, access ends at that time.
- Cancel anytime. You may cancel a monthly or 3-month subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; your paid access continues through the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and is not interrupted before then.
- Pricing changes. Prices are subject to change. Any change will apply to future purchases or renewals, not to a billing period or one-time purchase you have already paid for. Where required, we will give you notice of a renewal price change before it takes effect.
- Taxes. Prices may exclude applicable taxes, which you are responsible for where required.
- Refunds. Because the Service grants immediate access to digital content, fees are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law. If you believe you were charged in error — for example, a duplicate charge or a renewal you did not expect after cancelling — contact us within 14 days at support@prepscore.ai and we will review your request in good faith.
- Exam fees are separate. Any fee charged by the College Board to register for or take the SAT is paid directly to the College Board, is not part of your PrepScore subscription, and is not collected by us.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service. Among other things, you may not:
- copy, scrape, redistribute, resell, or create derivative works from our content except as expressly permitted;
- share account access, or use the Service to operate a competing prep or question bank;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, interfere with its operation, or circumvent security or usage limits;
- upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content, or use the Service to violate any law or third-party right;
- use automated means to access the Service in a manner that burdens our systems, except for permitted public search indexing.
6. Intellectual property
The Service and its content — including questions, explanations, flashcards, text, software, design, and the PrepScore name and logos — are owned by PrepScore or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and use the content for your own SAT preparation during your access period. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. Third-party names and marks are the property of their respective owners.
7. Disclaimers
- Educational use only. The Service is provided for general educational purposes to help you prepare for the digital SAT. It does not constitute admissions, financial, or other professional advice.
- Independent provider; no score guarantee. PrepScore is an independent prep provider and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the College Board. Practice results, including any practice estimate shown in the Service, are study tools only — they are not official SAT scores. We do not guarantee that you will achieve any particular score, gain admission to any school, or obtain any other outcome. Your results depend on many factors outside our control.
- Third-party trademarks. SAT® and PSAT/NMSQT® are trademarks registered by the College Board. Always confirm current exam details with the official source, such as satsuite.collegeboard.org.
- "As is." The Service and all content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that content is error-free, complete, current, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or secure. Verify important information against authoritative sources.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PrepScore and its affiliates, officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the Service in the period giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be subject to the courts or dispute-resolution process designated for that jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in your place of residence.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are material, we will provide appropriate notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
